There’s usually plenty of time to polish what you’re working on after the first round is finished.
On the flip side, we often don’t have as much time as we think (or as we’d like) to finish what we’ve started.
Nothing comes out perfect on the first try, hence the need for drafts and revision rounds. In our quest to improve our skill and perfect our craft, we can be easily tempted to focus too much on fixing things along the way.
This disruption of order can make the creation process tedious, frustrating, and sometimes downright discouraging.
It’s not a good strategy to have if you’re trying to work efficiently and effectively.
When we get caught up in the weeds of “fixing as we go,” it can create a few hiccups in the process, like:
- Slowing down progress
- Delaying the completion of a task
- Adding pressure to perfect what isn’t even finished yet
- Breaking concentration and focus
- Forgetting the original idea or intent
Try making this your objective.
Complete it now. Perfect it later.
It’ll help take some of the pressure off. Plus, you’ll have a better shot creating the masterpiece you originally envisioned. đŸ™‚
